L'histoire de cette pièce de collection...

Treat yourself like royalty. Something we agree with. And you can't get much closer than that with a Bentley Continental R Mulliner Widebody.

The Continental R was the first Bentley in 26 years that did not share its bodywork with its sister Rolls-Royce. It is based on the highly sought-after Continental R-type from the 1950s. The two-door concept was created by John Heffernan and Ken Greenley, the duo that was also responsible for the Aston Martin Virage, among other things.

Because for some the Continental R was 'not fat enough', 131 Widebodies were built with the "T" engine. This engine has 'only' 420 British horsepower, but with over 880 NM of torque at only 2200 rpm it is a real powerhouse! The name Mulliner is an ode to H.J. Mulliner, the British coachbuilder responsible for the Continental R-type from the 1950s. The body was widened entirely by hand with tin, in five steps. Incidentally, it was also the most expensive production car available in the Netherlands in 2003.

The three-tone full leather interior with dark brown walnut wood beautifully matches the dark green exterior. A very special colour; when the sun shines on it, a dark blue glow appears through the deep green. The wheels are painted in the same colour from the factory, which makes the Bentley extra distinctive.

- Being different isn't a bad thing. It means you're brave enough to be yourself. -
