Aston Martin Vanquish V12

The Aston Martin Vanquish is one of our favorite Cool Classics. Not only because the V12, especially for its time, was very fast but especially because of the incorrigible looks. The ultimate gentleman sports car! The Vanquish was born from 'project Vantage' where Aston Martin was busy developing the 6.0 V12. This was released a little earlier before the birth of the Vanquish in the DB7, which was an immediate success.

When the Vanquish was shown to the public in 2001, it was a new concept for Aston Martin, where the entire body was made of aluminum and the chassis of carbon fiber and aluminum. This allowed the gentleman's coupe to hit 100 in just 4.6 seconds and if you had a little room (and hair on your chest) the 306 km/h.

It was also called the 2+0 Coupe, which basically meant that behind the two seats, you had a slightly larger luggage rack. For just 7,000 euros (....), a rear seat was fitted, which meant it was actually still a two-seater thanks to the very limited space in the back. Ours also came with the back seat!

As soon as you get in, you get an extra special feeling. It took 'only' 8 Conolly cows to provide the Vanquish with its beautifully distinctive interior. The popularity of the Aston was boosted by James Bond, who chose the Vanquish for his film. Aston Martin planned to produce 300 a year, however, they had to scale up to 500 to keep up with demand.
