This 1974 Alfa Romeo Montreal comes in the outrageously extravagant and original color ‘Oro Metallizzato’ — the kind of gold that makes you want to wear a thick chain over an open polyester shirt. They dropped in the engine from their ferocious Tipo 33 race prototype — an advanced, all-aluminum V8 with dry-sump lubrication. And look at those headlights: those genius louvered “blinds.” Gandini must have thought, “Let’s give the lights sunglasses — they’re too cool to be on display all the time.” The Montreal is what happens when you tell a designer not to stay within the lines.

Only 3,925 of these mechanical masterpieces were ever built, making it a rare gem. And in this Oro Metallizzato specification — so rare we almost don’t want to sell it — you’ll own Alfa’s most legendary engine wrapped in their most iconic 1970s design. The Montreal is the ultimate statement car. Originally delivered in Europe and brought to the Netherlands in 2003, it has been meticulously cared for ever since.
