The story behind this collectible...

In 2007, Maserati was determined to come up with a powerful GT. They wanted to sling that Italian flair into the world from Modena!

Designed by Pininfarina, they were given the following challenging task: ''Create a dynamic, flowing car. Even without the iconic Trident, it must be unmistakably Maserati''

Andrea Pininfarina said, "Maserati has a prestigious name, but for 30 years has no clear design heritage. The challenge was to redefine what it means to be a Maserati.'' This was a great opportunity, but also like a blind date - you never know what you'll get!

In 2011, it was time for a convertible variant. In the 2012 model year, the GranTurismo family received numerous updates, including a new front end, a redesigned interior, an improved six-speed automatic and new sporty details.

What really enchants us is the Ferrari F136 Y engine. It is an Italian serenade! Initially a 4.2-liter V8 born from a Ferrari-Maserati flirtation. Later upgraded to a 4.7-liter V8 with 454 roaring horsepower that pushed 520 Nm to the leather seats. This is Italian flair and passion at its best. A cold start and the sound creates a feeling that grabs you and never lets go.

This engine is refined, with its sound that makes you realize time and again that Italians work from a passion for cars. At both low and high revs, this block chases your tummy tingles. Every growl, every roar, every vibration through your body. Pakfijn!

Our specimen was born in Italy and moved directly to America. After a few American miles where she has been owned by only one lucky owner. With just under 10 thousand miles on the clock, this is a true collectors item. Including a modern interior update, it is time for a new owner. One who is as passionate as its previous owner. One who can enjoy this Italian work of art on wheels, and pavarotti in the ears. One who might as well be late to a family dinner while the Risotto Alla Milanese cools down, all because of that one tempting mountain road!

'Bellezza con prestazioni, potenza con eleganza'
