The story behind this collectible...

From the time when British cars were still hand-built by men with thick forearms and a surly face full of soot. The XK140 is the bigger, stronger and more comfortable brother of the XK120. The 120 was built with speed in mind, the 140 was built for luxury, with the American market in mind. After all, the 140 has more interior space, stronger brakes and, thanks to telescopic shock absorbers, you have slightly less sore bottoms at drinks time.

When you park the car at the pub, you naturally park it with the backside facing backwards. Then a wood-inlaid emblem with 'Winner Le Mans 1951-3' shows, which reveals the stateliness of the white English car. The nice thing about the open two seater (OTS) is that the back slopes neatly, and no folded convertible canvas interferes with the beautiful lines of the car.

The Jaguar delighted America with its splendor until the seventies, when it crossed over to our cold country. This beautiful Jaguar XK 140 OTS has been in the possession of the same Dutch owner since 1989, and that was quite something. Over the years, not only has the car been completely restored, but it has also been taken to the Raid Rally and the Lions Rally. Last year, the Jag's snout was resprayed, but the carburetors, gearbox, clutch, tires and brakes were also completely overhauled. In addition, the XK140 has been equipped with an aluminum fuel tank, new fuel pump and cylinder head. You can feel all of this, the car really drives like new.
