The story behind this collectible...
The Jaguar XK150 - the successor to the XK120 and XK140. The type name referred to the top speed of the cars in miles per hour. In reality, the 150 fell just short of that, but at 135 mp/h it was one of the fastest production cars at the time. That disappointment was the end of it, because what beautiful cars they are!
The 150 can be distinguished from its predecessors by its curved windshield, which instead of a split window, consists of one piece. Also, the grill in the nose was widened slightly and the windshield was moved slightly backwards, making the nose appear slightly longer still.
Our XK150 was completely nut and bolt restored in 2002 which puts the car back in absolute top condition. The interior is a Suffolk & Turley interior and comes from MC Interiors in England. The deep black paint color matches beautifully with the dark walnut and white-beige interior with black trim. The hood is white-beige on the outside as well as on the inside, which gives a spacious feeling when closed. Apart from its optically beautiful condition, the necessary overhauls and modifications have been made to make the XK150 even more of a real driver's car. The engine and Getrag five-speed transmission have been completely overhauled. The Getrag gearbox ensures that the Jag also drives very comfortably on the highway.
In addition to this, the Jag was fitted with Aston Martin/Jaguar power steering, better brakes (four-pot brakes in front, XJ calipers in the rear) and the electrical part was converted to 12 volts with an alternator. In short; an ultimate gentleman sports car ready for many enjoyable miles!
