Jaguar XJ C 4.2
Specifications
The story behind this collectible...
Where the E-type stood for pace, the XK for grace, the XJ stood for space. A wonderfully spacious tourer full of class, the flagship of Jaguar where they liked to show off all their gadgets and new gadgets. The fastest four-seater in the world when the car first rolled off the production line. The car was rarely delivered as a coupé, which now makes it a real collector's item.
Anyway, enough about investments and performance, let's talk about the lasting impression this car leaves behind. After all, a Jaguar driver also knows that you have to drive this car with respect. That means that the sports cat of yesteryear has to purr quietly, not roar. In the car world it is sometimes said that a car resembles its owner. However, this cat also knows how to take its owner along in its grandeur. When you get in, you immediately get the feeling that you know about opera, wine, politics and poetry.
Ours? A great colour combination, a 6-cylinder that feels a bit more favourable in terms of consumption and weight ratio than the 12-cylinder and can still merge well. Just completely rebuilt, delivered in the Netherlands and maintained by Kroymans with a lot of documentation. That's a nice start, right?
