A model in which many goodbyes were said and many more doors were actually opened. Welcome water cooling, aerodynamics, and a completely new undercarriage. 4 valves per cylinder and the biggest, lightest and of course fastest ‘standard’ Carrera ever. A 3.4 and soon after even 3.6 litre Stuttgart power. Liquid-cooled and the first ‘not Ferdinand approved’ 911. Will he turn his air-cooled heaven? We don’t think so.

In 1969, Porsche was already busy with very unwise, life-threatening, but above all fun toys. For example, for the 917 a 6.0 boxer was ready on the shelf, with 770 Stuttgart horses(!). However, this remained in the play lab and never saw the light of day. What they did get out of it were the turbocharger and the limited slip diff. And they used them eagerly, Greta!

Our Porsche 911 996 4s? Very few had the guts to touch this colour as a first owner. Speed Gelb. Manual transmission. Beige interior. Just broken in, straight from a collection. Therefore, it is on the list of endangered species. Again, looking for a pampered and caring nest. Heated under cover, if possible. Bis bald!
