The GranSport got a tighter chassis, bigger brakes and a transmission that responded very quickly. Furthermore, the GranSport can be recognized by its larger wheels, the thickly shaped side skirts and attached bumpers. The 4,244 cc V8 remained almost unchanged, only now with 400 horses. Every Maser sounds divine as far as we are concerned; but with the involvement of Ferrari, a real angel's song comes from the four thickly attached exhaust pipes. Start with goose bumps and when it is warm, the intensity and volume of a thoroughbred Italian; Bella Macchina!

Compared to the competition at the time, the GranSport was a bit old-fashioned. That ensures that the XKR, M6 and 911 S of that time are not yet real Cool Classics. The Maserati, on the other hand, is slowly becoming a classic and comes very close to what an enthusiast wants; mechanical speed and the feeling of real driving!

Ours is finished in Rosso Mondiale and has the carbon steering wheel.
