Jensen Interceptor III Convertible
Specifications
The story behind this collectible...
A fantastic Jensen Interceptor III Convertible in concours condition. This Jensen has been ‘nut and bolt’ restored over the past 10 years. This means that every screw or bolt has been replaced, to get the car back to new condition. The gearbox has also been completely overhauled, which ensures a very smooth driving experience, with the large 7.2 liter Chrysler engine. Everything has been renewed and replaced, with absolutely no expense spared.
The engine originally only ran 17,000 miles. The original booklets are included, as well as an extensive photo report and invoices. All owners and history of the car are known to us.
The blue metallic matches beautifully with the beige interior, which is finished with blue piping. We dare to make the statement that this is the most beautiful Jensen Interceptor III convertible.
Predecessors of this Interceptor used fiberglass panels, but the Interceptor III is made of high-quality steel. Its beautiful looks were born from a collaboration between Jensen and an Italian company called Carrozzeria Touring Leggera. They designed the entire body. The first Interceptors III were also built in Italy, after which production later moved to England.
The Jensen Interceptor III was at that time, together with the Jaguar XKE Series III V12, the fastest luxury passenger car on the market with its 254 hp 7.2 engine, which reached 100 kmh in 7.5 seconds.
