The story behind this collectible...
“This car is the closest thing we will ever create to something that is alive."
- Sir William Lyons
A car from the time when smoking was still healthy, television had only one channel and most importantly; the time when driving was still really driving, without aids or sensation-enhancing trickery! This long yellow feline originated in a more exotic country than the Low Countries, the United States. That is why the owner probably chose an open two-seater in 1970, so this is a series II. The color has the beautiful name Pale Primrose Yellow. The E-type remains legendary for its looks, technology and driving experience and was therefore transported across the ocean by an enthusiast in 1989 to continue writing history here.
The E-type has now been able to make a splash for 71,073 miles, and that can be seen in the interior, which still shows completely original beautiful patina. By the way, it did manage to make a splash. Inside the car is a pewter sign that indicates that the car was ‘Best Jaguar In Class’ of the Concours D’Elegance in North America. The best looking in the class gives you a powerful feeling when you grab the large wooden steering wheel and use it to steer the big nose through the bends. In the side pockets you will find here and there traces of show tickets and other evidence that the previous owners were guilty of pure hobby. Now that the car has been fully checked engine-wise and technically, this tomcat purrs madly with 3 Webers. Waiting for an owner who is ready to cruise into many sunsets with this pale beauty.
Jaguar E-type - Domesticated. Not declawed.
