The story behind this collectible...
Our appreciation for curves is mutual. - Maserati
Ciao, Bella machina e mechanica. A type and kind of car that we unfortunately see less and less on the streets. An endangered species of car that, as far as we are concerned, should also be on the WWF's list. A comfortable travel coupe that manages to combine outrageously good handling with luxury. The class that is still only served by Bentley with the Continental GT and by Mercedes with the S-Class Coupe. And here was also Maserati, which, with its broad smile and three teeth, brought a lot of emotion above all. Unfortunately, today it can join the ranks of Jaguar's XK and Cadillac's Eldorado.
The Granturismo was first shown to the public in Geneva in 2007. The same platform as the Quattroporte, only with more exciting coupe lines. The rear seat had been replaced by the shrunken cabin for the one for hamsters, but who is going to sit in the back of such a driver's car....
The power source is an F136-U V8 engine. Borrowed from sister Ferrari, only with the 64-valve head. Why? Something about an angelic song, howl and especially when she's hot, that clap(papapap). What a party!
And ours? Well, just absolutely fine. She has the livery of the Mc Stradale, she is dealer maintained and has only one previous owner. Not the fastest, but the one with the Italian stylish bodywork and the incorrigible sound. And that's what counts, right? See you soon!
