Jaguar XK8

The story behind this collectible...
We did it again; a real Cool Classic.. A beautiful Jaguar XK8 with a 4.0 liter eight-cylinder engine. Our feline has been given a little extra claw and growl; she has been completely converted into the latest type XKR of this generation. In addition, she is one of four in the Netherlands that is equipped with a Wiesmann hardtop!! A feline that, in addition to the comfortable 'purr' in city traffic, can also really growl when given the space. No raw growl, but restrained potential. The XK8 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show exactly 35 years later than the E-Type.
The XK8 is built on the XJ-S platform, which in turn was based on the XJ6 platform. The 8-cylinder block with 32 valves and 294 HP was newly developed especially for the XK8. This block offers a lot of comfort and is fast when desired. The maintenance of the car is relatively cheap, because many Ford parts have been borrowed in the composition of the XK8.
The colour combination of the ‘Anthracite’ black and the beige ‘Cashmere’ upholstery match the appearance of the car; a modest beauty with beautiful lines. The first owner of the car has really ticked (almost) all the options, including a very good stereo system that the brand supplied, from Alpine.
With an average highway consumption of 1 in 10, this eight-cylinder is economical for its capacity. If you are looking for a beautiful Young Timer that is very unique in addition to its appearance, also with its mileage and Wiesmann heart, this is the time to treat yourself to a Cool Classic!
