Mercedes still delivers (luckily) thick V8 AMG models, although they are less thick than before. Even the G63 AMG nowadays has to do with a heavily blown 4.0 liter. As far as we are concerned, this used to be much better .. Then there was the SL55 AMG with an engine that did not mislead the name; a 5.4 liter M113 under the hood with 501 Stuttgart horses. The power source that could also be found in the SLR McLaren, with more than 600 kicking horses.

We think the sound of an ‘somewhat older’ AMG is phenomenal. As soon as the tachometer reaches 6,000 revolutions per minute, you will be rewarded with a powerful combination of roar and howling. All the stigmas around the car have disappeared and everyone is slowly agreeing; this is a beloved young- and almost an old-timer. A perfect combination if you ask us; the great thing about nowadays (all conceivable modern comfort options; air conditioning, heated seats, electric seats and roof), but with the ‘older’ real AMG DNA.

Our SL55 AMG distinguishes itself even further from the rest with its beautifully distinctive color composition (Brilliant Silver with a (bright) red interior) and very unique mileage. Everything functions as we are used to from a Mercedes. In short; one of the best AMGs ever made. Who can we rejoice as a new club member with this beautiful Silver Arrow?
