Maserati 4.2 GT Spyder

A name that, as far as we are concerned, deserves to be in the spotlight more often. Responsible for a significant car street scene in his career. The Volkswagen Golf I and the Delorian DMC-12 came from his design pen, after which he knocked on the door of the fountain of Neptune in Maggiore.
There he sketched the 3200 GT, a car that, like many legends, came to the market just a little too early. Now that it is a bit older, the beauty is becoming more and more apparent.

Now there is often confusion about the 'boomerang' taillights, or 'those ugly square ones'. This was because the beautiful (more; the new ones are not that ugly...) boomerang taillights did not pass the ballot in America. All the pioneering Italians in the Bronx were so disappointed, that Maserati quickly came up with a solution.

The square taillights, the sequential gearbox with Maranello sauce and a 4.2 V8 instead of the 3.2 V6. In 2001 the Spyder was introduced. You will not hear us say it often, but in this case certainly; less is more. Where the 4200 GT (facelift of the 3200 GT) made the air intakes on the bonnet stand out, the Maserati Spyder was a lot more sleekly shaped. The air intakes on the bonnet were even missing. A case of less is more.

Ours is, as you may have come to expect by now, a little extra special. She is fully dealer-maintained, has a very low mileage, no problems with sticky buttons and for the attentive purist; a sporty stick!! There were only 700 of them with the manual gearbox, unfortunately. That makes him rationally interesting too, dear!

The bright blue color matches the beige leather beautifully, a timeless and chic composition with just enough flair. A presto!
