La historia detrás de este coleccionable...
The Fiat Millecento, also known as the 1100. A car with modest recognition;
Enzo Ferrari wrote a letter to Fiat, complimenting the 1100 on its excellent performance and spirited character.
Most people think that the first truly accessible European car for the people started at Volkswagen, where Ferdinand Porsche arrived with the Beetle. This is not entirely true; since 1936 Fiat produced the Topolino. A car that has never been called that officially, but it looked so much like a mouse that the Italian vernacular called it that.
Our Millecento comes from the Topolino branch at Fiat. For the American market a small biscuit tin; for the Italians a fully fledged family car! With three men in the front and in the back was not unusual.
For her modest 36 bhp she feels very spicy and loves to tour. The fuel consumption can be compared to that of a Prius, but the smiles a liter are a lot higher! When driving you notice the dashboard, which consists of one big clock with all the necessary information. Olio, Aqua and Benzina. That's all you need. No radio, a few large pull buttons and absolutely no superfluous luxury. This resulted in such a good concept, that in the end more than 250,000 pieces were born. By now a lot have been given back to nature, so to speak... Ours is in very original, unrestored condition and has been in a barn for the last (decades). Even the original floor mats are still present in the Fiat and its interior is completely original. Her engine runs around, but everything needs a little Italian passion and love. She is looking for her Tony; Fix It Again Tony!
