The Jaguar MK IV is one of the most iconic models in the history of the British car brand Jaguar, produced between 1945 and 1949. After the hard times of World War II, the goal of the Jaguar MK IV was to restore and strengthen Jaguar's brand image by creating a luxury car. Aimed at the affluent market, the MK IV was to compete with other luxury brands such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley and serve as the basis for future Jaguar models. The model offered advanced technologies that confirmed Jaguar's position as a leading manufacturer of high-end vehicles.
Today, a Jaguar MK IV is a rare commodity. Our example is among these rarities. Only 376 of the original left-hand drive Jaguar MK IV 3.5 liter were produced between 1947 and 1948. Fortunately, the Cool Classic Club has a beautiful example in the Clubhuys: an original Belgian model that has been meticulously maintained. Both technically and optically it is in excellent condition, with the 6-cylinder inline engine having been overhauled in 2007. The vehicle features an updated soft top and various options such as wire wheels, spotlights, deluxe carpet set, dual fuel pump and matching numbers.
