'A formally harmonious product needs no decoration; it should be elevated through pure form.'
- Ferdinand Porsche
The Porsche is technically in absolute top condition. In addition to the condition of the 911, every 'enthusiast' option has been ticked, including the G50 gearbox. The G50 gearbox was a technical masterpiece from Porsche that made shifting a lot easier and faster. In addition to the highly sought-after G50 manual gearbox, this 3.2 Carrera also received the Porsche 930 Turbo seats from the factory. Due to the improved seating position, this 911 is also suitable for longer journeys.
For the first time since 1977, the Carrera name was revived in 1983 as the successor to the successful SC series. In the last "911" (afterwards it became the 964), the entire electronics, brakes and chassis were modified. In addition to this improvement, the engine block was also enlarged to a 3.2 liter with 219 HP. The 3.2 Carrera model of the 911 series was produced from 1983 to 1989.
Ours has a very tight G50 gearbox, and drives like a Porsche should. A matching-numbers car that was delivered in the rare ‘Leinengrau’, which is a really cool eighties colour. The car was originally delivered in the USA, and has always been pampered in the Netherlands by Porsche specialist Visser, resulting in a neatly stamped booklet. Do you want a classic Porsche to drive to and from Stuttgart for lunch? Exactly! Are you coming soon?
