The story behind this collectible...
Late sixties, emaciated rock artists, Cubans with fat cigars and freedom from sex, drugs and rock & roll. Rolls Royce and Bentley had their heyday and the Silver Shadow was a huge success. Back then, fewer Bentleys were sold. Funnily enough, that is exactly why the T1 is now more sought-after. The 12-pint engine with a flying B on the bonnet still gives us a broad smile.
For anyone who wants the absolute top, and still thinks they come across as more modest than in a Rolls Royce. Why do you want this now? We will explain that to you! During the life of the Bentley T1 there was a big improvement in early ’68, the GM400 gearbox was introduced. However, at the end of ’69 the dashboard was also changed to a safer (and uglier) dashboard. Ours has the much nicer Chippendale ‘split dashboard’ with the better gearbox. Long story short; best of both worlds, made few and short, so exactly what you want!
You don't want to drive such a classic Brit in dirty colours, but in this cool Larch Green you will look good. This one was delivered to Frank Dale, and only a few years ago it was taken away by a German collector. The car has been maintained and documented down to the last detail, and is ready for some great rides.
Will you come for a quick drive? The gentleman is already sold and is already waiting in the back of the car.
