The story behind this collectible...
The Austin Healey 3000. A car that we ourselves hold in very high regard. The basics of car enthusiasm; in the front a fat 3.0 liter 6-in-line engine with about 150 British horses, rear wheel drive, nice and rigid and a large steering wheel. Its spartan character makes it a real driver's car. Not many options were available. With the MK2 you had to be happy with a quick-action folding roof. With the 100/4 you still had to work with a folding tent yourself.
Between 1959 and 1967, Austin made 36,816 Healeys, divided into three "Marks. The Mark I's body was made by Jensen Motors and assembly by BMC. Of the Mark III, 17,712 eventually rolled off the assembly line. Unfortunately, thanks to the birth of another British icon, production ceased in 1968. Austin needed all the capacity for the immensely popular Austin Mini.
Our Healey is a specimen that is completely finished. Interior, exterior and technology in new condition. The wonderful thing about this classic is that it combines so much. Ready for rallies, a nice day out or sporty driving on your own with a big rumble under your derriere. All this makes it a true British Cool Classic.
Will we see you soon for a ride in our Austin Healey MKII 3000?
