The story behind this collectible...
- It looks like you like bisquits, it drives as if you are a Rolling Stone. -
Austin and Healey, when the brands came together, both had different influences on this model; Austin was a producer of beautiful and solid passenger cars, where Donald Healey was a speed demon and a car designer. At the time, Donald Healey wanted to make an affordable sports car that could reach 100MPH. Thus, the Austin Healey 100 came to be. The successor, the 100-6 and the Austin Healey 3000 were collectively called; 'the Big Healeys'.
Behold the basics of car enthusiasm; in front a beautiful 2.6 liter 6-in-line engine with about 150 British horses, rear wheel drive, nicely stiff and a large steering wheel. Its spartan character makes it a real driver's car.
Our 100-6? In the most beautiful 'Le Mans' color combination one could wish for. Old English White bodywork and spoked wheels with an Obelia Blue side and interior. This original Dutch Austin Healey is executed in 2+2, so there is enough room for two heavy English Bulldogs! Technically the car is ready for some big rallies this summer, now just a new boss. Will we see you soon?
This is something so beautiful, it's everybodies cup of tea.
