The story behind this collectible...
- A luxury coupe that offers more than the mere illusion of high performance -
The BMW 6-series of the E24 branch. Sharknose? Check. The still beautiful kidneys? Check. Rear-wheel drive, a thick 6-cylinder and manual transmission? Check. And then the elongated coupé line that made many a bad boy shout ‘what you gonna do’. The only right word that encompasses this is timeless beauty.
In 1976, the first E24 was born in Munich. All the first models were born as 630 CS and 633 CSi. It was not until 1983 that BMW put the icing on the cake and the legendary M1 block found its way into the 6-series. This is how the 'BMW 635 CSI' was born. The difference? 500 cc extra power, 33 extra pedaling Bavarian horses and the i, which is synonymous with the most solid time of Bosch that provided the Injection.
Ultimately, the hoodlum coupe was made until almost the 90s. The most sought-after models (yes, ours is one of them) are from before 1986, because that's when the catalyst came to crash the Bavarian Symphony party. 26 Bavarian horses were sent home and she also lost some torque at the bottom. Damn it!!
And then ours; she is matching, she has been completely technically tackled, largely original paint, documented and is now looking. For her new bad boss. Bis Bald.
