The story behind this collectible...
Imagine floating over the road on a cushion of air-yet retaining perfect control under all conditions. Stop imagining. - Mercedes 1967
Trademark suits and little black dresses, timeless design that is still popular today. We hear you thinking. Is this about the 600? Also, but especially about its first owner. Coco Chanel. A woman, who, just like this car, was terribly 'own' and did not care about the surroundings. And that is quite easy while you are glorifying yourself with infinitely deep leather seats, chrome and lacquered walnut, we can tell you. It was the only car ever in the Mercedes stable that was not developed with an eye to costs. Everything breathes abundance. A 6.3 V8 in the front, self-balancing air bellows on your struts, 115 liters of explosives in the back and of course everything pneumatically controlled inside. Why not electric? Everyone does that, so Mercedes thought that was disgusting. She created a special system that made all the locks, racks and mechanisms in the interior work on oil pressure. Normal pressure? Of course not!
The system works on about 135 bar pressure (!). You get it, the 600 is ideal for bragging in the pub. After Coco exchanged the 600, it ended up with another legend via a Dutch collector; Jamiroquai. Virtual Insanity, this Cosmic Girl! A remarkable Mercedes with an even better story.. Completely unrestored, very well maintained and recently fully technically checked and revised where necessary by the specialist for over 30,000 euros. Are you a James Bond crook, a dubious political leader or do you, like us, just think he's the schnitzel? Then we'll see you soon.
