"it's been heading for your driveway since 1978" - Porsche
The story of the Porsche 928 is perhaps as interesting as the car itself. In 1978, the 928 was first shown to the public. Initially, the plan was to phase out the 911 in favor of the Porsche 928. Still, the 911 is the icon today, even though it was already an oldie at 15 years of production when the 928 was presented. The 928 was completely different; a fat V8 that traded in the rear for the nose. As a result, weight distribution was exactly 50/50.
After 13 years of the "928," the most fun version came out; the 928 GTS. The GTS got bigger brakes, new styling and a 5.4-liter V8 that carried a whopping 350 Stuttgart horses. Eventually, just under 61,000 units were produced of the 928 in 17 years. Rumors are circulating that Porsche may be reviving the 928 as a sporty GT brother to its big brother, the Panamera.
Our 928 GTS is in absolute new condition. The serious Grand Tourer has driven 187,635 thousand kilometers. Midnight Blue Metallic on dark blue leather. The Porsche is equipped with truly all options (climate control, cruise control, trip computer, electric sunroof, electric seats, etc.). All this makes this example a real collectors item and an interesting investment! You can sell this to the home front.
