Lotus Esprit Turbo
Specificaties
Het verhaal achter deze...
Peter Stevens designed the successor of the Esprit S3 in 1987. The car was much less angular and had exciting lines. A beautiful car if you ask us (used to be a poster in the bedroom)! Not bad; later he designed the McLaren F1. Internally, the successor to the S3 was codenamed X180. This name has stuck to the car among enthusiasts.
Lotus wanted to develop an engine that, even at low revs, had a lot of torque, despite the turbo. Our 910 engine is equipped with a large Garret turbo and sprints to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds. The top speed is above 240 km/h. Even by today's standards, a bomb!
Our copy is - to put it simply indiscriminately -; unique! The Esprit Turbo has only driven 8000 kilometers. This mileage is also confirmed by Lotus itself (letter present). The car was originally delivered in Germany and has always been in the hands of enthusiasts. The brakes and gearbox have recently been overhauled. In addition to all maintenance vouchers, we also have the original booklets and the aforementioned letter from Lotus. The car is in good condition and is ready to be included in a collection again!
