Het verhaal achter deze...

"Strive for perfection in everything. Take the best that exists and make it better. If it doesn't exist, create it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough." - Henry Royce

The Rolls-Royce Phantom named among enthusiasts as the first Rolls-Royce that had been developed under the wings of BMW. In 1998, Rolls-Royce was sold along with Bentley to the Volkswagen group. However, the rights to the Rolls-Royce name were owned by Rolls Royce Aerospace. That, in turn, sold the name to BMW. The 2003 shares about 15% of its parts with the BMW range. A perfect combination if you ask us; motoring BMW, the stunning style and class of a Brit. BMW announced a separate dealer network specifically for the Phantom's launch. They wanted to avoid the same mistake that was made with Mercedes before; the Maybach was seen as the ultimate Mercedes.

The 2003 Phantom has a 6,750cc powerplant, which is a nod to previous Rolls-Royce models. This time it was a 12-cylinder BMW engine, which carried 453 ornamental horses. In 2005, the first facelift was unveiled. So our Phantom does not have a tachometer, but indicates how much percent of its power is still available. Along with this came umbrellas in the rear doors and the distinctive Spirit of Ecstasy automatically disappeared in the grill when the car was closed.

The Phantom is a statement of luxury and comfort. By the way, driving it yourself is also a feast. The overwhelming torque and ultimate smoothness make for a fantastic driving experience. And then to your rational considerations; this phantom has driven about 5,000 kilometers per year and has always been serviced at the dealer or specialist. She is in excellent condition and declared fully healthy.

Just like a beautiful woman; you know she has been driven before, but do you really care? She is ready for many more smiles a litre. Miles a litre we're not going to give away, that's also far from important. Right? We'll see you soon!"

"When things don't happen right away, remember it takes 6 months to build a Rolls-Royce. 13 hours to build a Toyota."
- Rolls Royce
