The story behind this collectible...

- Rolls Royce: the expression of the absolute exceptional. -

We commence with a riddle. What moves stealthily by you and you won't even notice? The Phantom 1, introduced as the New Phantom. The Phantom where it all started. In the meantime, due to tremendous success, seven generations have passed. A few years after 'the great war', in which England ended up as winner, the British had unprecedented prosperity. Therefore the market was ready for a car with 'quality undreamt of before the war'. In the USA there was such a large market that Rolls Royce decided to set up a production plant in Springfield, Massachusetts. That is also where this Phantom has found its origin.

When Rolls Royce expanded its production to the United States an additional advantage was that a lot of popular coach builders joined forces. Brewsters & Co and Le Baron were well-known examples. A Piccadilly Roadster was a Rolls Royce design most ordered by the prosperous people of the time, it had a more sporty look with a lower windshield. That's why this coach was also known as the 'Playboy Roadster'.

Ours? A beautiful Springfield Rolls Royce Phantom I Piccadilly Roadster. She has been sitting idle in a collection for years, and is now looking for someone to coast her back to life. The bodywork is still beautiful, but the 7.7 liter engine needs love. An important option, the desirable mother-in-law seat is present. This allows you to sit in the front in peace and quiet and, if there is a lot of commentary, give it extra gas over a speed bump. The Rolls takes you back to a time of real motoring.

Will we see you soon?

Rolls Royce Phantom - producer of supernatural forces.
