The story behind this collectible...
'There will be doubters, haters, liers, non-believers, and there will be me not giving a f*ck.'
- Hank Moody
The Porsche 993 911. A Porsche that is very significant to many and closed things, but also opened new doors in Stuttgart. It was the very last 911 that used purely air to cool. Also, it was the last 911 that Ferdinand Porsche himself experienced. Four days after the last 993 was born in Stuttgart, Ferdinand breathed his last (air-cooled) breath. R.I.P. hero!
Compared to its predecessor (and no, this was not from the introduction leaflet, this time it really was!), the 993 was revolutionary. Its entire suspension had been tightened up and Porsche introduced the VarioRam system. Something with even more air at revs, for a smooth transition toward the red area of your tachometer, which sits dominantly in the center of the instrument cluster. Überhaupt, Porsche is awfully good at that. Emphasizing the -for an enthusiast- essential things. Driving, experience and emotion. And we can tell you that in a 993 C4 with a manual transmission, these are absolutely fine.
And ours? Yes, just the way you want it! Only 54,000 kilometers handed out smiles; Her Polarsilver looks particularly good on her, her interior is tadeless and for those people who doubt between a 4S and a 4, ours has a Bilstein suspension. Before she came to sleep at our clubhouse, she was fully serviced by Cees Otten in Ankeveen, Porsche specialist. Entrepreneurs, beware, you can use this wonderful daily as a VAT car and thus end the fiscal year smartly. So yes, we also thought about the rational side. Saves a few nights of couch sleeping at home. Will we see you soon?
