The story behind this collectible...

'Dirt don't slow you down'
- Magnus Walker

Undoubtedly. The Porsche 911E Coupé, an absolute icon that invites you to drive. Now that the leaves are falling from the trees again, it is time for those long autumn drives. What could be better than the refined rumble of a 6-in-line to give the municipal leaf blowers a helping hand? A Porsche from the time when they were still brimming with charm and mechanical soundness.

This model Porsche, where the 'E' of 911E stands for Einspritzung. So the 911T and the 911S had carburetors, where the 911E had the coveted MFI (mechanical fuel injection). The injection system of the 911E that drove the 2.0 liter engine was a small mechanical system with its own camshaft in it; very ingenious! When this worked properly, it went like a rocket. On paper, the 911E was slower than the 911S, but because the 911E has more torque down low, it remains extremely popular as a real driver's car to this day.

In addition, in '69 there was another reversal in Porsche from Short Wheel Base (SWB) to Long Wheel Base (LWB). They still got the feedback of being a fine, sprightly, but also a bit nervous handling behavior on the longer stretches. Thus, a 5-centimeter longer wheelbase was enough to drive a lot more stable.

Ours? Just like you want it. A first-owner-car, with everything still matching and original. You never see them like this anymore. This gem was delivered in Omaha in '69 to a factory manager in the "Light Ivory" color. All booklets are included and the 911 is matching up to and including the Fuchs rims. Are you ready to conquer the fall with this beauty? Please stop by and let’s browse through the history together.
