The story behind this collectible...

The Morris Ten Six Specialisation puts motoring in its finest form within your reach.

A car where even Wikipedia can only cough up two sentences of knowledge. A car that was meant for the people. An English Beetle, with high technology and still real HP's. And those HP's had to be as low as possible on paper, because in those days you were taxed on your power in England. Our Ten Six has 12 horses from the Morris stable, two per cylinder. The 'ten' stood for the 10 HP load disc and the six for the number of cylinders.

Ours is an original tourer in almost completely original condition. In the distant past, instead of the fold-down luggage rack, an owner chose to extend the boot and finish it with wood. Perhaps he wanted to join the neighbour, who had the brand new Morris Minor Traveller on the driveway at the time. We think we succeeded. Up yours, neighbour!

Now in the Netherlands, it's nice to be able to join the motorway without sweating and gritting your teeth. The previous owner solved that by hiding an entire Triumph TR6 setup under the hood. This makes it a sweet car to look at, but seriously surprises them with driving, in the positive sense! For the purists among us; of course the original engine and body are still present. Will we see you soon?
