There are those calls that you know are going to reveal a story you can't miss. Thus began our adventure with the Daimler SP250, a sports car that nearly caused an identity crisis at Daimler before their legal department went into full swing. It was the last glorious chapter for Daimler before Jaguar Cars took over.

With its impressive V8 engine under the hood, the SP250 was ahead of its time and made many a heart beat faster. Originally it listened to the name "Dart," but about a millisecond after this word was first uttered in Coventry, the legal letters poured in and the phone was red hot with Chrysler lawyers. As a result, it was quickly renamed the SP250.

But let's put the lawsuits aside and focus on the here and now of this original Dutch beauty. This SP250 has known only two owners. The first cherished it into the new millennium, after which a passionate collector gave the car to his wife as a nut & bolt restored gift.
