In the beginning I looked around and, not finding the automobile of my dreams, I built it myself. – Porsche

The Porsche 911; King and champion in bringing out different variants, one more limited (read: more desirable) than the other. And they do this, however commercially, simply rock solid. In the land of the gun-slinging roses, ‘limited’ variants sold even better than in the EU. That is why Uncle Ferdi spent the first two years of production bringing all his new limited editions to the US. His latest version at the time was the Porsche 3.0 SC Weissach.

Weissach refers to the town of Weissach, where Porsche opened a ‘special wishes’ department. Option code M439, for the purist. Half were born in black, the other half in Platinum Metallic. Did you get anything else from the special wishes department? Sure; lavishly equipped for the pioneers! The 930’s cake server, fog lights in the bumper, Bilstein suspension, electric sunroof and four radio speakers! Inside? Turbo seats, an average cowshed of leather-skins, finished off with red piping/bibs. Go crazy, Ferdinand!

Ours? Well, yes. As it should be. European delivered, totally restored, overhauled and has only smiled 70 thousand kilometres. And very noble; the proceeds of this beautiful car go largely to charity. Will we see you soon?
