At Cool Classic Club, we have a soft spot for E-types. Not just for the model itself – but for what it represents: timeless beauty, technical elegance, and that elusive British flair. And when a truly great example comes along… we can’t help but celebrate!
And that’s exactly what we have here! Because this is not just a quick polish or a rushed restoration. This is an E-type with the right character, an impeccable past, and a history that is visible in every detail. A rare, unspoiled Series 1 3.8 – looking for its next caretaker.
Built in 1962, originally delivered to Jaguar Cars in New York, and in the hands of the same proud Dutch owner since 1994. A true enthusiast, who not only fell in love but stayed faithful for thirty years. He meticulously restored this feline from top to bottom with precision and passion. No shortcuts, no compromises. Just pure dedication. More love has been poured into this car than a British gardener puts into his rose garden.
Then, in 2012 – at 35,936 kilometers – the engine showed signs of fatigue. The block was completely rebuilt, including a new crankshaft. Two years later, she was roaring again – stronger, smoother, and just as stylish as in ’62.
The Series 1 3.8 is the E-type in its purest form: an aluminum dashboard, the right switches, and three carburetors singing their signature tune. Matching numbers, extensive documentation, and a history that is rarely so clearly traceable.
This is an E-type that reflects an enthusiast’s passion in every detail.
Are you ready to take the wheel?
"If the E-type was a person, it’d be the one everyone wants to sit next to at the party."
