Het verhaal achter deze...
The Peugeot 504 was a hit at the 1968 Paris Motor Show. An extremely well-designed and developed car with a solid base; engine in the front lengthwise and rear-wheel drive. In addition to the sportier driving experience, also more balance. A successful successor to the 404, which had been in production since 1960. A year after its introduction, the 504 was awarded the (then very prestigious) Car of the Year title.
In this piece, we will delve deeper into the Cabriolet. We have a beautiful Peugeot 504 Cabriolet, finished in Metallic Silver Green. The bodywork was designed by Pininfarina, and it shows! Technically, the Cabrio is largely the same as the Berline, but the wheelbase (15 cm shorter) differs considerably. It shares the 2.0 liter engine with injection with the 504 Ti. From 1970 to 1974, the 4-cylinder was scrapped and replaced by the PRV V6 block, a block that was developed by Renault, Volvo and Peugeot themselves. After much insistence from enthusiasts, the four-cylinder was delivered in the convertibles again in 1974. This makes the Peugeot a lot more light-footed than the large 6-cylinder, and therefore more fun to drive!
This 504 is from 1981, was delivered in the Netherlands, and has only had two loving caresses. The car is in truly top condition. The car is completely in original colours with silver-green and cognac. There is about 8 centimetres thick paperwork with the car, and has already proven to be a nice investment project.
The French border is only about 3.5 hours of broad-grinning driving, so you can drive straight through. Will we see you soon?
