Ford Thunderbird

Het verhaal achter deze...
On the day this Ford was born, a lot was happening on the other side of the ocean: Martin Luther King talked about his dreams, musical legends emerged and American car companies had ‘the horsepower race’. It was in 1965 when the Thunderbirds with blue suits first appeared on TV, that Ford was already there with the fourth generation Thunderbird (this time also with a blue suit); the Flair Bird. Exaggerated exuberant lines of the fifties were replaced by tighter long lines of the sixties. Ford came up with the idea to spell out ‘Thunderbird’ in full on the hood, and that was a hit. In the year the Thunderbird was released, sales increased by more than 50%!
The bodywork of this Thunderbird and the color come in like a thunderbird in a clear sky, and the interior is as good as new. The car comes from a collector who wanted to take care of all his offspring, so that no one goes short. That is why he restored the car nut and bolt, and he has not driven the car much since then. Looks like Elvis, but sounds and closes like a Swiss safe.
When you drive around in this car you feel like a sixties god. At that time it was fashionable to leave a 'jet-like' feeling in the interior in all sorts of ways. That is obvious, the meters in the car immediately drag you back to the sixties. Grab those Raybans from the closet and come for a drive and let the V8 of this beautiful bird roar as it should. This Thunderbird has won many awards: are you ready to (re)live the American dream?
