Nissan GT-R

Het verhaal achter deze...
- Did you see the newest Porsche 911 Turbo? Not since second gear. -
And that is not a lie, this Nissan has scared the entire supercar world and sent it back to the drawing board. We do not often have a car that makes us really quiet, but this GT-R has done it. When all the buttons are on ‘normal’, it is a wonderful sports car to eat a lot and especially long roads. As soon as you put all the buttons on the center console on position “R”, it is a completely different story. The suspension and steering become so reactive that if you drive over a euro coin, you can tell whether it was heads or tails! When you start her, you notice that she is not completely standard. MRT Performance has taken the GT-R in hand and adjusted the software. It now responds via an app on the mobile. Pops and bangs on and off, RON 95,98 and 102 mapping. Necessary? No. Fun? Wow!!
The 3.8 liter V6 Twin-turbo is assembled entirely by hand by one of the four very specially trained Nissan mechanics called 'Takumi's'. To ensure that no dirt gets into the engine during production, they are assembled in a special climate-controlled high-pressure chamber. After assembly, -each gearbox- is specially tailored for each engine. We as Europeans thought we were accurate, but the Japanese surpass us. When you get in and bring the GT-R to life, you are treated to many displays with even more functions, in addition to the beautiful howl-roar. The G-forces, boost, temperatures and even all FIA circuits are part of the interface. If you think it looks like a Playstation, you are right; Polyphony Digital (designer of GranTourismo) designed the entire interface.
Another thing we find worth mentioning is the design. This was the first sports car to be partly designed by a computer. The computer had one task, to be as aerodynamic as possible. And that worked out pretty well, the GT-R has a Cd value of 0.26 (!). Compared to big names this is extremely low (Ferrari Enzo 0.36, Porsche 911 GT2 0.34, Bugatti Veyron 0.39). This together with the enormous downforce makes it a supercar killer. Jeremy Clarkson had to go to the hospital after driving the GT-R. Why? His neck couldn't handle the G forces. So, do you want to treat yourself to one of the most notable Cool Classics to-be? We have it, completely custom made. New NAV mapping, latest Michelin pilot sport tires, Ankarai rims (custom made, three parts, approx. 20,000 euros!!), a full carbon package, bigger brakes and so on. And oh yes; she breathes through Akrapovic. Something with more bangs, experience and especially sound. This is it, for the enthusiast. Don't forget your neck brace.
- Everything you want, is on the other side of fear. -
