Het verhaal achter deze...

Treat yourself like royalty. Something we agree with. And you can't get much closer with a Bentley Continental R Mulliner Widebody, either.

The Continental R was the first Bentley in 26 years not to share its body with its sister Rolls-Royce. It was based on the highly sought-after Continental R-type from the 1950s. The two-door concept came from the minds of John Heffernan and Ken Greenley, the duo also responsible for the Aston Martin Virage, among others.

Because for some the Continental R was "not fat enough," 131 Widebodies were built with the "T" engine. This engine has "only" 420 British ornamental horses, however, with over 880 NM of torque at only 2200 rpm, it is a true powerhouse! The Mulliner name is an ode to H.J. Mulliner, the British coachbuilder responsible for the 1950s Continental R-type, and the body was widened entirely manually with tin, in five steps. Incidentally, it was also the most expensive production car available in the Netherlands in 2003.

The three-color all-leather interior with dark brown walnut matches the dark green exterior beautifully. A very special color; when the sun shines on it, a dark blue glow comes through the deep green. The wheels are painted along in color from the factory, making the Bentley extra distinctive.

- Being different isn't a bad thing. It means you're brave enough to be yourself. -
