Rover P5b

The Rover P5B 3.5 Litre, an example of British style and flair, with a large portion of nostalgia, for most of us.

Ours comes from one of the last years of the P5's life. The P5 line started with the Mark I in 1958, also called the 3 Litre. Under the hood a 3-liter measuring six-in-line that also came in a more powerful form in its successor - the Mark II from 1962. For the Mark III that appeared in 1965, the same six-in-line was used again, again with a number of extra horsepower.

The P5 series entered its final phase in 1967 with the P5B 3.5 Litre. The six-cylinder was pushed aside and a 3.5-liter V8 took its place. The B in P5B was a reference to Buick, the brand from which the power source came. The aluminum eight-cylinder delivered 163 hp. Rover turned to Buick because it did not have enough money to develop an engine itself. The P5B was delivered both as this Saloon and as a Coupé (four-door!). This Rover comes from Italy and the owner was an active member of the Rover Club. The Rover is in very good condition.

Rover built a total of 11,501 P5B Saloons. Only 9,099 of the Coupés saw the light of day. A fairly popular classic that is always worth looking at. If you want the feeling that comes to you in a Rolls Royce, but then a little more sensible for the wallet, this is your chance!
