Pinky Lai, a name that probably means nothing to you. He is the chief designer of the 996, the Boxster and the Cayman. He was given the coveted task of designing a beautiful Porsche that fell between the Boxster and the 911 in terms of look & feel. The Boxster was a not-quite Porsche for many, while the Cayman was a nice, sporty, affordable Porsche. The nice thing about a Cayman? A weight distribution of almost 50-50 ensures ideal sporty driving behavior. 'It really is just like a go-kart!', according to the previous owner.
