L'histoire de cette pièce de collection...
"Strive for perfection in everything. Take the best that exists and make it better. If it doesn't exist, create it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough." - Henry Royce
The Rolls-Royce Phantom, known to enthusiasts as the 2003. This was the first Rolls-Royce developed under the wings of BMW. In 1998, Rolls-Royce was sold to the Volkswagen group together with Bentley. However, the rights to the Rolls-Royce name were owned by Rolls Royce Aerospace. They in turn sold the name to BMW.
The 2003 shares approximately 15% of its components with the BMW range. A perfect combination if you ask us; BMW motor, the beautiful style and class of a Brit. BMW approached a separate dealer network especially for the launch of the Phantom. They wanted to avoid the same mistake that was made earlier with Mercedes; the Maybach was seen as the ultimate Mercedes.
The Phantom 2003 has a 6,750 cc power source, which is a nod to previous Rolls-Royce models. This time it was a BMW engine with 12 cylinders, which brought 453 ornamental horses with it. In 2005, the first facelift was unveiled. Our model has a longer wheelbase (250 mm) and received some options such as the Power reserve meter. The Phantom does not have a rev counter, but indicates what percentage of its power it still has available. In addition, the umbrellas were installed in the rear doors (present in new condition) and the characteristic Spirit of Ecstasy figure automatically disappeared into the grille when locking the car.
The Phantom is a statement of luxury and comfort. After electrically closing the curtains in the back (side windows and rear window), you can enjoy the starry sky above you in peace. Or you can fold out the table, which has a large screen for all the necessary modern entertainment. Driving this car yourself is also a party. The overwhelming torque and ultimate flexibility make for a fantastic driving experience.
As a Phantom with its condition, mileage (42,639 km) and right color combination, this is the right time to surround yourself with British beauty and German engineering!
" When things don't happen right away, remember it takes 6 months to build a Rolls-Royce. 13 hours to build a Toyota. " - Rolls Royce
