Moto Guzzi, which in short stands for Motori della famiglia Guzzi. Or for lovers of all things Italian; a synonym for stylish, advanced technology and reliable (by Italian standards).
After the Second World War, Italy had a tough time. There was a scarcity of benzina, which created a need for 'and the ciclomotore per tutti'. Small engines, in other words. Moto Guzzi answered this question with the Motoleggera 65. Because of its popularity, it was soon popularly nicknamed 'the Guzzino'. Sounds better when you tell about her on the terrace, with your cappuccino.
The one-cylinder two-stroke has a rather spicy character for her modest 65cc. With the hand throttle and long gear stick along the tank (3 gears) this has all the essence of hobby and old-fashioned driving.
