The story behind this collectible...

The Porsche 911 (993). A Porsche that is very important to many and marked the end of an era, but also opened new doors in Stuttgart. It was the very last 911 to rely solely on air for cooling. It was also the last 911 that Ferdinand Porsche himself experienced. Four days after the last 993 was born in Stuttgart, Ferdinand breathed his final (air-cooled) breath. R.I.P., legend!

Compared to its predecessor (and no, this didn’t come straight from the press brochure; this time it was really true!), the 993 was revolutionary. An improved chassis and a 15% increase in power compared to the 964 make it a perfect Autobahn hero. Porsche, in general, is exceptionally good at the core of what we’re talking about: driving. Focusing on the essentials that matter to enthusiasts: driving, experience, and emotion. And those are absolutely present in a 993 Carrera Targa.

And this particular example? A very rare specimen. Delivered in 07/1997 at Porsche Centre Willich and then shipped to Japan, where the car was fully cared for. In 2017 it returned to the Netherlands, where Porsche Centre Eindhoven inspected it, and since then it has been maintained by the dealer, with just under 86,000 documented kilometers. The Fernweiss color is rare on this example and suits it extremely well. Practically speaking, the 993 Targa generation is one of the most pleasant places to sit, offering a great deal of comfort and an enormous sense of space, inviting you to use it daily. Even the practical side has been considered, which saves a few nights on the couch at home :)
