The story behind this collectible...
'Beauty with performance, power with elegance.'
- Maserati
During the 1980s and early 1990s, Maserati experienced difficult years. The models struggled to achieve the "temperamente" Italian image. The luxurious 3200 GT coupe, with its flowing lines, put the sportivo Maserati back on the map, thanks Giorgetto Giugiaro! The 3200 GT stood as the basis for the continuation of the 4200 GT and later the Gran Turismo.
The successful 3200 GT is the last model designed completely independently by Maserati. Connoisseurs go wild, to say the least: the distinctive aggressive lines, oval grille and, of course, the boomerang-shaped taillights. The "boomerangs," by the way, were the first LED developed taillights on a production car. The beauty is realized and admired more and more by the day.
The further developed 3.2 growling eight-cylinder in V-shape with, yes, two bangers of turbos puts 370 horses to work. The fiery block, with its 490 nm of torque, gives quite a punch in the back, which is almost equivalent to the half-yearly appointment at the chiropractor. Consequence the health insurance can be screwed down again. The balanced chassis creates a 50/50 weight distribution.
A sharp handling which makes the Maserati come around corners seriously. Be careful with the throttle though, the 370 horses can run surprisingly hard from the stable. Therefore, avoid the dyke roads in the beginning otherwise it will be a double appointment at the chiropractor anyway. The cognac upholstered seats, Alcantara headliner are in original and very good condition. This beautiful 3200 GT is unrestored and always maintained. The full history is known and documented present.
