L'histoire de cette pièce de collection...
The Jaguar XK140. The successor to the XK120. A truly English sports car produced by Jaguar between 1954-1957, in our humble opinion, the only correct color composition of a British classic. British Racing Green with a Beige interior.
This XK140 was completely restored in 2001 after arriving in Spain from the US, as well as the engine that was completely overhauled at the time. Since 2012, this Jaguar has traded the land of tapas and bulls for clogs and tulips, after which it has been maintained by Thijmen Fokker (Jaguar specialist). The car has driven only 5000 kilometers after restoration.
The XK140 SE is provided with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate. All invoices, photos of restoration and engine overhaul are present.
Compared to the XK120, the XK140 had more interior space, better braking, a larger suspension travel and telescopic shock absorbers. Apart from the technical aspects, the necessary changes had also been made optically. The front and rear bumpers were fitted with overriders, flashing lights above the front bumpers.
In 1956, the XK140 was the first Jaguar sports car to be offered with automatic transmission. As with the XK120, wire wheels and dual exhausts were optional. This XK140 is equipped with both options, which makes it look like a real Jaguar is supposed to be, a beautiful sports car with retained potential.
