Also, it was the last 911 that Ferdinand Porsche himself experienced. Four days after the last 993 was born in Stuttgart, Ferdinand breathed his last (air-cooled) breath. R.I.P. hero!

Compared to its predecessor (and no, this did not come from the introduction leaflet, this time it really was!) the 993 was revolutionary.
