The story behind this collectible...
Tired of German Techno? Try some Swedish Metal.
We have a lot of different cars in our collection and this icon should not be missed. A real Volvo 850T-5R. One of the first stations to start the power saloon battle. And they kicked it off right away.
Let's go back to basics. The car is based on the T-5, which was also not bad at all with its 225 HP. But it could all be a bit more spicy. For that, Volvo called in the help of Germans who are well-known in this field, namely; Porsche. The Germans used their expertise to lift the engine and suspension of the 850 to the desired level and thanks to a change in the ECU and a larger Garret-Turbo, the party was even bigger as the car now had 240 HP. The Volvo does 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and the top is reached at 235 km/h. Result? The whole family, including the dog, sick upon arrival in France.
The one we have? The only right one. But you probably already knew that. It is the Estate and also in the colour you must have, Cream Yellow. But, it gets even better. The car actually comes from Sweden and has only recently started drawing its first stripes on Dutch soil. What happened to the car in the Netherlands? It has been completely restored. The entire car, completely tackled. And all documentation including photos are available. The only thing that can be criticised is the reading of 262,969. That means that it has not been driven much at all. These blocks are known for being indestructible and they can often be found with a reading of over 450,000 kilometres. There are even rumours that some have been to the moon and back. So the only thing left for the new owner is to put a few more hundred thousand on the counter. See you soon?
This is not your uncle Olaf’s Volvo.
