'For some there's therapy, for the rest of us there's motorcycles'
- Honda
The Honda CB750 "Sandcast" is an iconic motorcycle that holds a special place in Honda history. These early CB750 models were nicknamed the "Sandcast" because of the way they were produced.
We are in possession of the Sandcast with serial number 1002426 which belongs to one of the earliest production models of the Honda CB750. The early CB750s, produced in 1969 and early 1970, were manufactured in a unique way. The engine blocks were cast in a sand mold (hence the nickname "Sandcast"), before Honda switched to a more cost-effective mass production method with a cast aluminum block.
"Sandcast" CB750s are considered highly coveted collectibles because of their historical value and rarity. This specimen comes from a Dutch collector who has cared for his Sandcast with great passion. Looking for an impressive collector's copy?
