The Range Rover Classic. A real SUV. An SUV before they became mud free and there were more to be found with school mothers on the field hockey pitch than on the moors. Land Rover, of course, had quite a head start in terms of technology, which had long been proven and tested in the series 1, 2 and Defender. The previous models were of course super as a rancher, forester or uh… mushroom photographer, but had nothing to do with comfort. At average cobblestone roads, it looked like you were in a covered wagon on the way to communion. This could be done differently. For there was also a category of gentleman farmer, who wanted to go to the stores with a fat V8, covered in leather and a hint of walnut wood, but through the forest path. This opened up such a niche that Land Rover came up with the Range Rover. Same principles, but then with a potato in the muffler and much more comfort.
Thus was born our Range Rover Classic, three-door. Our Classic 3.9 V8 was completely revised and rebuilt to Monstter’s standards in Portugal after many years of faithful service. Her entire chassis, engine and bodywork were checked and, where necessary, modernized and restored. The Rock gliders, the hidden remote control winch, the larger tires and elevator kit make it a serious tool for forest mushroom touring. Difference? This one also just cruises along on the A1 at 130.
