Specifications
This Porsche 911E is in truly fantastic condition. With much love and care, this Porsche was built by the current owner and is in new condition. Everything has been handled and is fully ‘matching numbers’. The original color ‘signal orange’ looks great on her! In 2014 the Porsche came from the US to the Netherlands. The engine has run very little after overhaul. This Porsche is guaranteed to be a ‘head turner’ and is ready for many miles!
The Porsche 911 (pronounced nine-eleven) is the best known sports car from the German automaker Porsche. The car’s exterior was designed by Ferdinand “Butzi” Porsche, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, the founder of the Porsche brand. The familiar shape has hardly changed in the past 50 years.
Porsche 911E model was produced from 1969 to 1973. The 911E replaced the 911L that stands for “Luxury”. The 911E was developed for more comfort than the 911S. Therefore, the 911E was positioned between the 911T (Touring) and the 911S (Super). The E stands for the German “Einspritzung”, meaning injection. This “mechanical fuel injection, MFI” was developed by Bosch and Porsche. The MFI of this Porsche has been replaced by Webers. This is because the MFI is difficult and only by specialists (2 in NL) to maintain. This makes it very expensive.
The 911E was standard delivered with the ‘comfort’ package: Ventilated brake discs with aluminum calipers, velour carpet, leather covered steering wheel, heavy duty bumpers, rubber protective plates and chrome accents.
