Mercedes 600SL
Specifications
A Mercedes-Benz 600SL in concours condition offered for sale. A magnificent youngtimer! The 600 has a Mercedes M120 engine that is 6.0 liters in size, has 48 valves, 12 cylinders and with its 389 hp is the strongest of the SL stable. Incidentally, this engine is also the basis for the very rare SL 73 AMG, which was still a separate company at the time.
This generation SL replaced the R107 and dates back to 1989. The R129 was very progressive for its time. For example, it was one of the first convertibles where you could tick optional electronic dampers, hardtop with panoramic roof and an automatic folding anti-roll bar. The above options were also ticked when we ordered our 600SL. The suspension system of the car has been completely overhauled.
In addition to the highly desirable options, the car is in true new condition. At 19,578 miles (31,324 km), the car has just been driven in. The complete history of the car is known and we have all information from the first moment that this 600SL was delivered to its first American owner. She changed hands once in the USA, after which she covered more kilometers in transit than the Dutch owner drove with it (approx. 3000 km).
In short, a unique car that has all the potential to become a collector’s item!
